Rajendra Waghchoure:

Active Years : 1981 to 1997

Rajendra Waghchoure one of the recognised rider from his time got inspired from his father Late shri Somnath G Waghchoure and Uncle Late shri Laxmanrao G Waghchoure. They were the inspiration for him to come in to the motorsports.

He started in hi career as a motosport racer in the year 1981 when he was just 22 years old

Rallies and prizes won 

a.            Thumps up NARSC RALLY- (9TH MARCH 1981)  - 3RD Place

b.            1st Indian Motorcross Grad Prix 1982 at Pune (4th April 1982) – Finisher

c.             1st Sahyadri High Range Rally 1984 – 3rd Place in Motorcycle

d.            Charminar Challenge Rally 1985 – Overall 5th (awarded by President of India Mr Shankar Dayal Sharma)

e.            1st Maharashtra Dirt Track Race 1985 – 1st in GP Motorcycle

f.             1st Maharashtra Dirt Track Race 1985 – 1st in Motorcycle 105cc Categories.

g.            1st Maharashtra Dirt Track Race 1985 – Finisher in Sprint Category

h.            Gabriel PARA Rally 1986 – Overall 3rd

i.              International Motocross Grand Prix 1986 (18-19 Jan 1986) Winner 1st in Class F.

j.             NASA 500 RALLY 1991 – Overall 3rd in Car category as a Navigator with Ashwin Pandit

k.            NASA BPL Mobile “Believe in the Best Rally” 1997 – Finisher

He cosiders Late Shri Laxmanrao Waghchoure, Late Shri Hoshi Patel, Late Shri Bhaskar Patwardhan and  Mr Dhananjay Vadnagare as his racing idols, with he grew up as a rider.

He was also on FMSCI technical commission. Attended Various rallies as a Chief Scrutineer and Technical Delegate.
